Bio

I first found myself on a yoga mat as a kid when my grandmother took me to her Hatha classes.

I always wanted to make a difference in the world. That is why after a year living in Australia, and travelling in Asia, I studied a MA in International Cooperation with specialization in developing countries. Most of my classes were anthropology oriented as I was profoundly interested in learning traditional cultures and their relations with their environment through art and spirituality.

After I studied and worked in Brazil where I had the chance to learn about the afro-Brazilian spiritual dances, I returned to Belgium, where I started a regular yoga practice. I needed some physical activities to regain energy after getting mononucleosis . I soon discovered that yoga will have transformative & positive effect on many different aspects of my life.
I continued practicing in several places in the world from Indonesia to Thailand, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Abu Dhabi and California.

In 2015, while living in California, I completed my 200 Hour Teacher Training at Smiling Dog Yoga, under the guidance of Roxy Banta and Gabriel Remliel. During this training, I got trained in Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative. I immediately fell in love with the fluid, dance-like, feminine sequencing of Shiva Rea’s Prana Flow Practice. As a former competitive swimmer and dance lover, I feel fully alive when I am in movement. Also, after travelling the five continents and discovering different cultures, Shiva Rea’s approach to yoga resonated with me as it reminded me of several ritual movement meditations from the Candomble and Umbanda in Brazil to the prostration in Muslim prayers in Morocco, and ecstatic movements during services in Fijian Churches.
At that point, I understood that I wanted to serve the world through yoga.

Following my heart, since 2016 I have been training with Shiva Rea in Greece, Malibu and India to become a 500 hour Prana Flow yoga teacher.

My classes are a combination of my passion for movement, spirituality and music. I love to infuse my classes with themes that arise from daily life, yoga philosophy, self-love and nature.

Combining the principles of massage therapy with yoga, I aim to share with my students this passion of yoga that can allow them to be a better person, honouring themselves, others and the world. Regardless of the style and audience of the class, I teach with compassion, encouragement and fun to a wide range of age and abilities from Restorative to Vinyasa, Prana Flow, Hatha, Yoga Nidra, Yin, Prenatal, Mantra and Sacred Sounds etc

This year, I also had the chance to teach yoga for kids in various schools of Toronto. I enjoyed seeing how kids could benefit from yoga and meditation to increase their self-regulation and self-confidence.

Aside from yoga, massage therapy and reiki, I have a diverse international background of work experience in fundraising,  translation,  communication and marketing for non-profit organisations and administrative work at wellness centres.

After travelling extensively and having worked in Brazil, Australia, California, Canada and my home country Belgium; I thrive by being exposed to different cultures and connect in different languages (French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch and some Arabic).

I am so excited and honoured to hold space for you on your journey of living a life of joy and thruth   ...
